I’m just learning a lot of this stuff on a fly through friends that have machines as well. Could that create a problem? I know many people would be happy just to play their game but I would like to use my coin door button to adjust the game play and get more ships or smart bombs. What do I do if they come back Ok? The only other thing I noticed is that an interlock switch was removed from the back door and wired together with twist caps. I just sent the two boards above and the large CPU board out to get checked.

There is current running to the 3 switches, advance, auto up, and high score buttons. Ive got a chance to save one Defender and one Stargate cabinet from the local landfill. The interlock switch (inside the coin door) is working fine. The game starts up and says all systems go. I know my widget (interface) board is good, and my Rom board shows a zero at start up so there’s no error codes. Nor does the advance button down below in the cash door work either. The game plays fine but the switches inside the coin door do not work.
